Harvey Korman died yesterday at the age of 81. The Carol Burnett Show was one of my favorites as a kid (yes, I'm that old)..he and Tim Conway never failed to crack me up. In fact, just thinking about them struggling thru their skits, trying not to laugh...makes me giggle a little. Of course Harvey was in Blazing Saddles, High Anxiety and numerous other roles. The world is a little less funny now.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson has landed a regular role next season on Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." On "Sarah Connor," produced by Warner Bros. TV, Scottish musician Manson will play Catherine Weaver, the CEO of a cutting-edge high-tech company. The sci-fi series, an offshoot from the "Terminator" feature franchise, is returning for a second season in the fall after launching in midseason as the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-08 season. It stars Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as her son John Connor and Summer Glau as terminator Cameron Phillips.

In the latest ‘Got Milk?’ campaign from Body by Milk, “The Dark Knight” superhero poses with a milk mustache and encourages people to drink low fat or fat free milk.

Heyyyy!Chances are the statue will not be of the Fonz riding a motorcycle -- since the bike he rode on "Happy Days" is British and Milwaukee is the hometown of Harley Davidson. That's good news for fans who are hoping for a statue depicting the infamous leather jacket-wearing, water-skiing, shark-jumping Fonz which birthed the term, "jump the shark."The unveiling of the Fonzie statue has been set for August 19.

James Van Praagh, co-executive producer of the television show Ghost Whisperer and a well-known psychic medium, claims that Michelle Williams has been woken up twice by Heath Ledger’s ghost, and says he himself has also been visited by Ledger’s ghost.
In a recent interview, Van Praag says:
Yes Heath Ledger has appeared to me. Two weeks after he died I was shaving and right behind on the right side in the mirror his face appeared and he said to me in my head that I screwed up. Now he knew me. We didn’t know each other directly, but we had mutual friends and he knew what I did. He said I screwed up. Then he thought about his daughter and that was it. Then the next thing I heard about Michelle [Williams], his ex, at their apartment in Brooklyn she’s been haunted by him twice. ok...I'm back. Life suddenly decided to go crazy on me...but now things have calmed down and I can get back to what's important - celebrity gossip.

So this weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Sooo glad winter is done - here in central Wisconsin, he had over 100 inches this winter. ONE HUNDRED!!! I had to shovel all that because I thought :" I don't need a snow blower...how bad can it be?". HA...

needless to say am now on the look out for a used snow blower....let me know if you happen to see one...

In the beginning...

So, here I am. I decided to start this blog because it's cheaper than therapy. Today is Mother's Day. I'm not a mom, although I do feel the need to mother my boyfriend which both annoys him and makes him feel good. I think.

I'm not really sure yet what I'm going to do on this blog, other than vent and document my interests. Oh...and celebrity gossip because I really don't have a life of my own.

Let me explain what I mean...I bought a new lawn mower last week and I LOVE IT. It's self propelled and if you have ever tried to mow uphill with a push mower than I KNOW you can relate. Self propelled makes all the difference. Maybe this blog is my way of self propelling myself...wow, that was profound. I can't believe Oprah hasn't had me on her show yet.

Anyway, every time I look out my kitchen window and look at my backyard, I see the neat little rows I made with my new mower and I just feel good. Maybe it's that feeling you get when you know you are taking care of business..being responsible, a grown up. Ha...since I'm 42 I'm guessing I should have been feeling that way for some time. Unfortunately I don't feel that way very often. But I'll leave that rant for another entry. Lucky you, oh desperate blog reader...you have something to look forward to.
